As a coach I have tried to do as many of the Beachbody programs from start to finish as possible because I would never like to recommend something to somebody that I wouldn't endorse myself, and because if they have a question I would like to have first-hand knowledge of what they might be experiencing so I can better address their needs. With that said, it had been a while since I was a finalist in Insanity Challenge Beachbody held last year, and since then I went back to P90X, did Insanity: The Asylum, RevAbs, Chalene Extreme, and some others. So now that I am deep into my P90X/Insanity Hybrid program I have finally reached the Max Interval part of the program with the Insanity workouts again. Let me tell you, today was rough. But I remembered that when I did it the first time I also thought I was going to die. But I just kept doing my best and every time I pushed play I did as much as I could and hoped for improvement. So that helped me get through my workout today as well. I like knowing that although I struggled like crazy to make it through the 55 minutes of hell that Shaun T put me through, in the end I will reep the rewards of my hard work. So for anyone out there reading this post, keep that in mind. If you need someone to help you get through this program, don't hesitate to contact me.

Beachbody Has Completely Transformed Us
Tonight my wife posted her before and after pictures showing how far she has come since we began our transformation journey over 2 years ago. I am so proud of her and want others to know that everyone can achieve the same success. Leslie didn't have the rapid success that I was able to have, but she didn't give up. I tried to support her as best I could and encourage her through all of her ups and downs, although to be honest, I occasionally made things worse...oops. In any case, we leaned on each other when we didn't feel compelled to "Bring It" or "Dig Deep", we made snacks and meals for each other when we could, and we grew together. Now, I can honestly say that not only has our marriage never been stronger that it currently is, and we have never been a better looking couple than right now...and that is after having 2 boys (6 and 8 years old). We are actually in better shape now than the day we were married! Does Beachbody work??? Absolutely! It offers the entire package: Workouts, Nutrition, and the support of a personal coach to help keep you motivated and accountable, even when you aren't feeling your best.

P90X2 Pre-order Information
Are you guys ready for P90X2? This is going to be a program that sets a whole new standard for home workout programs. This program is going to test your ability to push yourself to the next level, and will get you in better all around shape than any other program on the market today.
Anyways, I found out some more information about the P90X2 pre-order, and I’m happy to say that they are right on track with what they have been talking about, and the pre-order is set to begin on September 1st! Once you pre-order, they are planning on shipping everything out in December, so you should be getting it before Christmas, just in time to begin on Jan. 1!
OK, so here is some more information I found out about P90X2.
- P90X2 is divided into 3 phases just as the original P90X, but this time you control how long you stay in each phase. The 1st Phase is Foundation, and it trains your muscles to be more balanced by activating stabilization muscles. The 2nd Phase is Strength, allowing you to get stronger and more explosive by using a combination of balance and strength routines at the same time. The 3rd Phase is Performance, and well, it increases just that, performance, allowing you to jump higher and run faster.
- Improved Nutrition Guide, with a ton of different diet plan options, such as for people who are Vegan and Vegetarian.
- P90x2 Equipment: Pull-Up Bar, dumbbells or resistance bands, medicine balls, foam roller, stability ball, PowerStands (optional), and a Yoga Mat (optional).
- P90X 2 Base Kit: 13 disks: Bring it again, X2 Core, Plyocide, X2 Recovery & Mobility, X2 Total Body, X2 Yoga (60 min now), Balance & Power, Chest, Back & Balance, X2 Shoulders & Arms, Base & Back, P.A.P. Lower, P.A.P Upper, X2 Ab Ripper. Also includes Nutrition guide, Fitness guide, & 90Day calendar. Price: $119.85 0r $149.85 for Blu-Ray.
- P90X2 Deluxe Kit: Includes all the discs above, along with 2 extra workouts (V Sculpt and X2 Chest, Shoulders, and Tris), a stability ball, 2 8lb medicine balls, and a foam rolle. Price: $239.85 or $299.85 for Blu-Ray.
- P90X2 Ultimate Kit: Includes everything in the Deluxe Kit, but replace the foam roller with a premium grade (textured) foam roller, and add in 2 PowerStands. Price: $299.85 or $359.85 for Blu-Ray.

Insanity Infomercial!!!
I don't know where to start, mainly because I feel as though I've neglected my blog for so long. It isn't because I haven't wanted to post anything, I have just been blessed with so many things lately that I haven't had time to put it all into words. So I guess I will chunk things in categories.
Fitness: I just completed Phase I of RevAbs. I hate to be too critical of my Beachbody workouts, but compared to what I loved about Insanity and Asylum, I think I have lost some definition in my upper body. My arms do get challenged with the weights I choose to use during the moves, but I just am not getting an overall workout from head to toe with RevAbs. I hope things change in Phase II, or I am going to have to stop, or at least mix in some P90X so I can work on upper body more. So I'll have to update this blog again soon.
Support: My TnT Fitness page on facebook continues to grow, which means that I am effectively helping other people change their lives for the better. I am so happy to see all the positive responses I get from the comments people are making on that page. I have also seen my team of coaches grow at a rapid pace, almost doubling in size over the last month. I am overwhelmed by the potential I see in the future of my business as well as in the health of the people I care about.
Opportunity: Just the other day I received a call from Dolores Thompson at Beachbody. She is in charge of putting the Insanity Infomercial together, and wants me to be in it. I can't explain how exciting this is to me. I know exactly how much hard work I put into the workouts, and to be rewarded like this for my efforts is truly amazing. Things are going so well, and I hope I can keep this momentum going.

My Birthday Wish
Today I celebrate my 34th birthday. It seems so weird to say 34, mainly because I truly feel like I'm in my early 20's...actually, I feel better than when I was in my early 20's. Back then, I was beginning my teaching career and tipping the scales at over 200 lbs, but I still thought I was in shape. How wrong I was. Fast forward 10 years and I find myself in so much better of a place with my health, happiness, and life in general. I love spending time playing with my boys and my wife and I feel better not only about each other but about our future as a whole. And just 2 weeks ago I was pitching against a familiar team and the manager comes over to me and says, " I don't know what you've been doing, but you are throwing harder against us now than you were 4 years ago. I can't thank Beachbody enough for what their products have done for me and my wife, and what the business opportunity has brought into our lives. Sure the money is good, but the relationships we have build with other coaches and the people we have influenced to become active in their journey toward health and fitness. It feels so good to pay it forward, you just cannot put a price on it.
I do hear it a lot from people who think I am only in this for the money. What I have to say to them is the small commission I get from an individual buying P90X from me pales in comparison to the tears of joy I get to experience from them when they tell me the doctor told them they were no longer obese, or that they don't have to take a particular medication anymore because their health has improved so much. I offer a fit club for free every Tuesday night, no obligation, no business presentation...just a great workout with a bunch of other folks that could use some extra support or simply enjoy walking the same path as others in similar situations and sharing community together. I truly don't care if you are using a Beachbody product or not. Sure, I'd prefer it, but if something is working for you and you are spreading the good word to others, that is all I can ask of you. 2 out of every 3 people in this country are obese or overweight, I don't need to make everyone a customer, but I want to make everyone aware of this crisis. I am trying to do my part, and I could use as much help as possible.
The reason I am so adamant about Beachbody and it's products is not only because I own my own Beachbody Business, but because they have a system that will absolutely work for everyone. We have fitness programs for those who like to move and grove like TurboJam, TurboFire, Hip Hop Abs, Rockin Body, programs that leave you in a puddle on the floor like Insanity and Insanity: The Asylum, or our most popular workout program of all P90X and coming soon, P90X-2, and these are just a small sample of the over 130 programs we carry. We also have the best meal replacement shake in the world in Shakeology. This is not just a meal replacement shake for weight loss, but for total health with all-natural ingredients that will completely transform you from the inside out.
So my Birthday Wish is that everyone who reads this message decides to make the commitment to improve their own health and helps to influence 2 other people to decide, commit, and succeed in becoming healthier. If you don't have the power to change, contact me and we'll do it together. Get a group to join in and we'll do it as a team. I am committing to do my part to End the Trend of obesity in this country, and I need your help.

Insanity: The Asylum - Day 27
Yesterday I completed Day 27 of Asylum and the workout was Back to Core. Now, although this workout is at a much slower pace than all of the other ones with the exception of Relief, it is one of the more grueling workouts in the program (well, it is for me anyways). I don't think I have ever worked my lower back so much in my life, and this workout really pointed out that I need to pay more attention to it. Over the last 27 days, whenever I saw this workout was on the schedule I just thought to myself, "Oh Great!", because I knew I was going to be in pain in a few minutes. Well, nothing has changed, it still hurts, but it hurts GOOD. I have improved tremendously in all of the movements, and can make it through most of them without stopping. The only one I seem to still have trouble with are the flutter moves during the Split Lunges. My lower back burns, my core is torqued, my supporting leg starts to buckle and the rear shoulder feels like it's on fire half-way through the move. I have to take a second or two off before jumping back into position, but that is much better than the first attempt at this workout where on many of the moves I would take a break, and the breaks would be much longer. The other move I see a lot of room for improvement on are the reverse swimmers. By the time you get to them, you are pretty far into the workout so my back was pretty fatigued. With it being harder to keep my chest up, it made it more difficult for me to slide my elbows through without giving myself a rug burn, so I tried to slow down and simply concentrate on form when that happened. I think that's the main thing, my form. I am noticing that on all the moves my form has improved significantly, thus I am working my muscles more and lasting longer, and therefore just as tired and covered in sweat as ever by the end of the workout. What a fantastic program. 3 more days of digging deeper until "graduation!"

Insanity: The Asylum - Day 24
Yesterday I completed Day 24 of Asylum, and STRENGTH was on the schedule. I really like using the bands with this workout, but go to the dumbbells for the chest exercises to give me better resistance. I also opt to do the floor work for my back rather than go into the other room to perform on the pull-up bar, although I think that may be having a negative effect on my progress because I really need to work on my pull-ups. I am getting better at the moves where I have to jump on and off of my bands, so I get a better overall workout. Now that things seem to flow smoothly from one move to the next with the bands, I actually think I prefer using them to free weights, but it may be just because of the type of weights that I have that makes them inconvenient to switch the weight quickly.

Insanity: The Asylum - Day 23
Yesterday I completed Day 23 of Asylum, which simply means that I still have an entire week to go! This workout was about Speed & Agility, and when I look back at my video I notice that I really am not all that gifted in either of the two. Actually, although you can't really see it in this video, I do feel like I've gotten stronger in most of the moves. I did feel a sharp pain in my right knee during the opening jump rope exercises, which did cause me to stop momentarily a couple of times. But once my legs warmed up and fluid was lubing up my joints I felt a lot better. Where I truly felt gassed was during the repeated Bear Crawl exercises and the Progressive Mountain Climbers. At that point my quads have hardly any strength left, my back is tired and my shoulders felt like they were ready to give out. But as Shaun T says, that's when the real work begins. And you can tell that I was working hard by looking at how my shirt changes from light gray to almost black from all the sweat that poured out of me. Keep Digging Deeper everyone!

Insanity: The Asylum - Day 11
GAME DAY!!!
I love game day...but I'm typically referring to Sunday when I play baseball these days. Not today. Today Game Day refers to the Day 11 workout in Asylum, but don't let the name fool you. There is no way around it, in Game Day, you don't play around. This is a grueling 60-minute workout from start to finish that left me, my shorts, and my floor completely soaked...and that was just at the half-way point. You start out by simulating a 1-mile mini marathon over hills, valleys and rocks you have to scale to get to the other side before you even get to stretch. You then go through a series of drills specific to a variety of sports, including basketball, skating, swimming, surfing, tennis, football, and baseball. It is almost non-stop action the entire time with a few seconds in between to catch your breath and take a swig of water. My workout imitated life, because I sucked at the swimming, skating and surfing exercises just as I do in the sports themselves. I guess my feet were just meant to be on the ground. I'm out.

Insanity: The Asylum - Day 7
Things must be improving for me, because I did this workout after playing 2nd Base and Pitching in my baseball game this morning prior to this workout, and I only died a little bit this time ;-D. I really liked the change with the bands today in the STRENGTH workout. It gave me a different feeling in the two-way resistance, although I did feel awkward in some of the movements, especially when I had to jump in the air with the bands still under my feet. But hopefully I will become more graceful as time goes on, because I do plan on doing this workout again with the bands.
Insanity: The Asylum - Day 6
A repeat of the Day 1 workout, today I did Speed and Agility. I still don't feel very speedy or agile, but I do think I made some improvement, despite the fact that my quads were burning from the beginning, no doubt a little residual pain from the previous workouts completed during the week. I still had to take periodic breaks for both my fatigue and to get some oxygen back into my lungs, but did better on most of the moves. I still have trouble with some of the agility moves where my left foot is supposed to lead (it's a little on the slow side), and no matter how hard I try, can't seem to get my feet into the 3rd ladder rung without knocking the ladder out of place during in and out progressions...by the way, I HATE IN AND OUT PROGRESSION. It's like when Shaun T couldn't decide what move to do next in the sequence, that was his "go to" move...he must have been pretty indecisive during the planning of this workout then :-D. As usual, here are the highlights of the workout.

You Only Have Yourself to Blame!
It's time to face the truth, and the truth is that you are never going to win the lottery. You cannot go back in time and invest in Microsoft, Google or Yahoo. I'm sure there are plenty of opportunities you look back on now and say to yourself, "I should have done that," because your life would be completely different if you had. Well, I have to tell you that all of those opportunities are long gone, and there is nothing you can do about them. But you have an opportunity right now, with a company that is only in its infancy and is about to completely explode in the next couple of years. This will absolutely be one of those opportunities that you find yourself saying, "I should have listened, because my life would be so much better." DON'T SHOULD ON YOURSELF!!!
Act now, because for a limited time, you can own your own piece of the Beachbody Company and be in complete control of your financial future! You only have a little more than 2 weeks left to be able to test drive owning your own Team Beachbody Company, and with the startup costs completely waived. How many businesses can you start up with all of the tools and support you are given from Beachbody, along with the backing of $110 million in advertising from a well-known brand, with such a small investment amount?
I am not going to lie to you and tell you that if you sign up with me, money is going to fall from the sky and put you on easy street for the rest of your life...things just don't happen that way. But what I will promise you is this: Join my team as a coach and give a full commitment for 3 months. That means get on a fitness program and if you can, commit to Shakeology so you can be a walking billboard for the company which will also get others interested in what you are doing. Put at least 3-5 hours a week into learning about and building your business. If you don't feel this is working after 3 months, just walk away, knowing you gave it your best shot and be able to put the "should-haves" to rest. But I can promise you that if you do put in a good effort into this business, you will succeed. If you are able to simply bring in 2 coaches with you to be your partners, you will see the benefits right away, and probably start making profit immediately. The only thing you have to lose, is a potentially very bright future. A future that will provide you not only financially, but with more time for you to be able to enjoy life more doing what you want to do instead of what you have to do. An additional benefit to becoming a Beachbody Coach is that you will have also made a commitment to yourself to stay healthy, so you will live a longer, better life to enjoy the time and freedom you have created for yourself.
This opportunity is just too good to at least give a chance. New Year's resolutions are going to sweep the nation and we can be on the receiving end of people wanting to get in shape using our products. One of our own Beachbody Trainers, Brett Hoebel, is going to be a trainer on the next Biggest Loser, which will give us even more publicity. We have 5 of the top infomercials in the world, and plenty of advertising spent on getting them out there so we don't have to. Beachbody gives paying customers to us so we can benefit as coaches. And Beachbody is about to go global! With all of the success that Beachbody is having with products like P90X, Insanity, Shakeology, etc..., it is only the beginning because it has all been done in the US. But we will soon be branching into Mexico and Europe. You can get in before that ever happens. But you have to act fast, because the longer you wait, the longer you postpone your own success. Come be a part of my Beachbody Team. Contact me today.

How much can you make as a Beachbody Coach?
This seems to be one of the first and most frequent questions I get asked when I tell people that I am a Beachbody Coach, along with what do you have to do and how much does it actually cost. I usually start by clarifying that although being a Beachbody Coach does have a monthly fee, that it actually saves me money on products I would be purchasing anyway, so why not make money at it while helping myself as well as others get into better shape? When I get into a brief description of how we earn money as coaches and I mention the word "rank," that's when I usually hear, "what is a Diamond Coach and how much can they earn?" Well, let me explain it here, so I can possibly save my breath when I get asked in the near future.
DIAMOND COACH:
A Diamond Beachbody Coach has to meet certain requirements:
- Be active with at least 100 PV (Personal Volume), where at least 50 PV comes from Customer Orders.
- Personally sponsor 8 coaches (4 on each of their business legs)
- Have at least 1 of those coaches from each leg reach Emerald Rank (They need to sponsor 2 coaches of their own)
When a Beachbody Coach has achieved the rank of Diamond, it means they are doing fairly well and is most likely seeing their business grow on a consistent basis. A Diamond Coach is also at the highest level of team cycle bonuses, which is $18 per cycle and can reach a maximum of $2000 per week. If a Diamond Coach reaches this maximum every week, they would earn $104,000 a year in team cycle bonuses alone (but this is just a theory). As far as actual numbers are concerned, that can only be determined by how hard a coach is willing to work. I can, however, show you some basic stats on how much Diamond Coaches made last year:
- The lowest amount a Diamond Coach made in 2009 was $485
- The average amount of all Diamond Coaches in 2009 was $21,966
- The highest amount a Diamond Coach made in 2009 was $296,130
But here is the most exciting news; Diamond isn't even the highest rank a Beacbody Coach can achieve...not even close! You can become a 1-Star Diamond up through a 15-Star Diamond as your business continues to grow. As you reach 2-Star, 5-Star, 10-Star and 15-Star Diamond status, you will qualify for even more bonuses, earning a share of 2% of Beachbody's Bonus volume.
As you can see from the 2009 statistics, a lot of money can be made in this business, but it is up to the coach to determine just how successful they will be. If a coach can sponsor even 1 new coach a month, by the end of their first year they have the potential to earn a lot of money as they teach their coaches to follow the same business plan. I wish you all the best of luck, and look forward to having you join my Beachbody Coach Team.

It hurts so good
This week I began a new workout routine by going back to my old friend P90X. Only this time, I am doing a Hybrid routine of the muscle confusion workouts of P90X with Insanity Workouts on my cardio days. I was immediately brought back to how I felt the first time I did P90X. I felt phenomenal that night, and was even able to make it all the way through AB Ripper X (including the Mason Twists). I don't remember ever blasting through that entire routine with the bonus twists at the end, so I have to thank Shaun T's amazing program for getting me into the best shape of my life! In any case, here is the part that brought me back to my introduction to Week 1 of P90X. THE PAIN! OMG, my chest, shoulders and whatever the muscles under my armpit are called were ON FIRE!!! After completing the Day 1 workout of Chest & Back, I was rubbing sore areas on my body 2 1/2 days...then it was time to do Shoulders and Arms. In all honesty, doing that workout actually made me feel a little better. However, the muscles under my armpits hurt like hell when I was doing the warm up to Insanity's Max Cardio Conditioning, but all my soreness was gone once my body was properly warmed up. I know all this sounds scary, and you probably are thinking, "what kind of idiot would go through pain on purpose?" Well, this kind of idiot. As Tony would say about the pain I feel, "It's in a good way, a good way...I mean that in a good way." And he's right. Because the satisfaction I feel after a workout, the sense of accomplishment I experience, it makes all the pain meaningless when I look at myself in the mirror and see how far I have come and the example I have set for my children.

Insanity, Day 45
I'm not going to lie, today's workout was rough, and not just because it's an insane workout. I was dragging a bit when I looked at the clock and realized I had better get moving, otherwise the evening was going to get away from me with dinner and the kids' bedtime, and I didn't want to wait until 9 or 10pm. So I started by posting that I was about to workout on Facebook, then logged into WOWY so I couldn't back out. I then sluggishly made my way to the DVD player in the family room, started it up and got my towel and water. During the warm up I actually paused it and thought to myself "I am not in the mood to put myself through this." But I turned right around and started anyway. When your frame of mind is like that, every move seems to require so much more strength and lung power to perform. I was still feeling out of it about 5 minutes into the workout, I just couldn't get that feeling out of my head. But as the warm-up got into its third cycle of the circuit, I was sweating like usual and was finding myself concentrating more on the moves than on my state of mind. Once I had my blood flowing it was business as usual. In the end, I still ended up drenched in sweat from an amazing workout. Yes, it was rough. But I was able to "Dig Deeper" and push through because I have worked too hard for too long to let myself give up. I am so glad I did.
