Precious Moments

Tonight I went to a fit club that is hosted by my friend Traci Morrow. She is gracious enough to rent out the auxiliary basketball court at Azusa Pacific University every Thursday night, just so others can come and workout together. Although the workouts are great, that is not what I am calling a precious moment. You see, tonight my 5 year old son, Trevor, joined me. My wife stayed home with a migraine and our older son, Tyler, wanted to stay with her to take care of her. So it was just me and Trevor for the evening. During the workout he ran around with a couple of other boys, causing a bit of trouble but nothing to worry about. That was fun to watch, but that wasn't precious either. My precious moment cam after the workout was completed and everyone headed home. As the last few people found their way to the exit, I told Traci I would like to stay for a few minutes just to have some "daddy time" with Trevor. She said sure and went home to her own family. This was my precious moment. Just 15 minutes of uninterrupted playtime with my little boy, it was past his bedtime after all. But for those 15 minutes, you couldn't wipe the smile of his face, or take the joy out of my heart. As we walked out of the gym Trevor grabbed my hand and held it all the way to the car. On the way he said a simple phrase, "I love you Daddy, I had fun with you." To me, that little phrase was more powerful, more meaningful than any speech in the history of mankind. What would I do to be able to create more moments like that? I'm doing it...You can to.

Need to Prioritize

I admit that I have been completely gung-ho over Beachbody, whether I'm talking about the exercise programs like P90X or Insanity, nutritionals such as Shakeology, and the Business Opportunity. The truth is, I am absolutely crazy about all of the above because I honestly believe in them. The programs and nutritionals have, without a doubt, helped me to get in the best shape of my life. The business has not only helped me to earn a little extra money (and I know that amount will continue to grow), but it has made me stay committed to my own health and fitness at a whole new level than before, and it allows me to be a part of the transformations of the people that I am helping to get in shape, some for the first time in their life.
The problem is that I have recently focused too much on the business aspect of Beachbody, which is important to me, but in doing that I neglected to value the relationships I have established on a personal level with those that have also joined me with Beachbody. It took my friend and coach in my organization, Jon Zackula to help me realize this. So thank you Jon, for helping me to reorganize my priorities and remember that although this is a business that is driven by relationships and trust, it is the relationships that need to take center stage. The funny thing is, that my business grew fastest when I wasn't thinking about the business and instead focused on the people around me, and helping them improve their lives.
That is just one more reason I like this business, because it is actually going to help me to remain grounded to what is truly important. If I hadn't brought Jon into my organization, I wouldn't have had him to point me back in the right direction and stay true to who it is that I want to be. Yes, your upline coach can help you build your business and support you as you grow, but the coaches that you bring into the business can support you as well. It's the only business I know that helps to maintain your personal relationship as well.

Do You Like Your Wife and Kids?

Who am I to tell you how you feel about your family. Maybe you like going into work early and coming home late, I understand...actually, I don't. Let me clarify, I understand working as hard as you can to be able to provide a good life for yourself and your loved ones. I understand that in this economy, we all have to do whatever we can to keep our jobs to maintain whatever lifestyle we have. The part I don't get is the point in working so much that you aren't able to enjoy the very life you are providing for your family because it requires spending so much time away from them. And is all that work even giving you the quality of life that you once dreamed of for yourself?

I'm not going to claim to have your solution to wealth and fortune. But I do have a great opportunity for you to make it possible. I know that as a teacher I can provide a decent live for my family, but I don't want decent. I don't want to have to work summer school just to be able to pay the bills. Plus, in this economic climate full of budget cuts, I can't be sure that summer school will even be available. I am not going to sit back and feel sorry for myself, I am taking control of my family's financial future. But it's not just about the money, it's what I can do with the money. Sure I could buy nice new things to spoil myself, but what I really want to do is buy time. I love winter break, and the month of summer that I get with my wife and kids, without having to worry about heading off to work. I would love it if that were my life every day. Well, the Beachbody Business Opportunity has allowed that to be true for many coaches already, so why can't I have that as well? And why can't you for that matter?

We have the opportunity to own a piece of this amazing company while it is still very young. What other company can you get in shape, help others get in shape, and make money while improving so many lives around you? The costs are minimal when it comes to starting and owning your own business, but the potential is infinite. Take a look at this short video to see what I am talking about, then contact me when you are ready to take control of your financial future.

Change Your Life Today!

Today is the last day that you could alter your future for FREE!!! If it is only to commit yourself to your own personal health and well-being, signing up to be a Coach for Beachbody is worth it. By committing to coaching, you not only are making a commitment to take care of yourself because of the contract you sign with yourself, but you give yourself the ability to take advantage of a 25% discount on all Beachbody products such as P90X, Insanity, Chalene Extreme, Shakeology, among many other great programs, products and nutritionals. That in it of itself is a great opportunity since coach sign-ups are free, but it ends today.

Could an extra couple hundred bucks a month help. How about an extra thousand? This is easily within your grasp if you want to sign up as a coach for an actual business you can do on the side, for very little extra time as well. If you are going to be working out anyway, why not have the chance to make some money in the process too? I get even more out of the fact that I am helping people reach their health and fitness goals. The joy on their face and change in their self-esteem is worth its weight in gold, and I get to be a part of their transformation, which motivates me to continue.

I am committed to this company, because as a teacher I cannot live the life I dream of. I cannot spend more time with my family, enjoy my two sons as they grow and my wife while we are in the prime of our lives. I may not be at the point now where I can afford to forgo teaching summer school, but that's my short-term goal. I don't just want to make more money, it's what that money will provide. That money will provide me freedom. Give it a shot. Today is your last chance. Set yourself free.

I know that in a couple years down the line, you will look back and say to yourself that you should have at least given it a shot, at least for a few months. That you should have risked a very small amount of money, which would have been spent to get yourself into better shape anyway, for the chance to reach financial independence. That you should have valued your health, wealth, and most of all, your time enough to take advantage of this great opportunity.

Well, DON'T SHOULD ON YOURSELF. Take a leap of faith. My family deserves it, and so does yours.

Feeling Guilty

I just realized that I haven't posted anything new in almost 3 weeks...NOT ACCEPTABLE. I pride myself on setting a good example to those that I am influencing, and two of the things I preach are consistency and accountability. For the past few weeks I have neglected both. Even I get affected by life, and you shouldn't be expected to be at the top of your game all the time either. I suffered back spasms for almost 2 weeks, so I couldn't work out. By the end of the first week of rest, I could feel myself slink back into a sloth-like state, even though I was dying to work out in my mind. The fact that I wasn't working out in my daily activity made me lose a little focus and motivation when it came to working on my business. My Facebook and blog posts were almost non-existent. But no more...I am back and I am ready to roar!

The New Year has re-energized me and I am ready to take this business to the next level, and I am starting by taking care of my own fitness first! My back feels great, and even though I practically peeled my index finger like a banana the other day with a hedge trimmer isn't going to stop me from Digging Deeper. That's right. I have re-committed to Shaun T's Insanity Program, and this time will be using the Deluxe Workout Package. I am excited and ready to feel the pain. In addition, by committing to my business, I am also making a pledge to myself that I am going to stay in peak condition, regardless of what happens around me that I cannot control.

Last year at this time, I found myself 10 lbs heavier by the end of winter break and on the way to gaining back every pound I lost after my first round of P90X. I looked in the mirror, decided to put what I learned from the program, and began my second journey. I felt so good after my round of P90X that I became a coach last July so I could take advantage of the discount, and open the door to possibly making some money by getting into shape. The effect that the label of "Beachbody Coach" had on me gave me a drive and desire to get into the best shape of my life that I have never had before. I now weigh less than I did when I graduated High School! I went from 23% body fat to 11%. I feel better than ever, and now that I have committed to Insanity, my mind is in the right place. This can happen for you too. Commit to coaching, and what you are really doing is signing a contract with yourself to get yourself into the best shape of your life, and you will also be setting an example for those around you who may not believe that they are capable of such changes. Be the model, help change those around you, and help to put a stop to the ever-growing trend of children and adults that are overweight or obese in this country.
