You Only Have Yourself to Blame!

It's time to face the truth, and the truth is that you are never going to win the lottery. You cannot go back in time and invest in Microsoft, Google or Yahoo. I'm sure there are plenty of opportunities you look back on now and say to yourself, "I should have done that," because your life would be completely different if you had. Well, I have to tell you that all of those opportunities are long gone, and there is nothing you can do about them. But you have an opportunity right now, with a company that is only in its infancy and is about to completely explode in the next couple of years. This will absolutely be one of those opportunities that you find yourself saying, "I should have listened, because my life would be so much better." DON'T SHOULD ON YOURSELF!!!

Act now, because for a limited time, you can own your own piece of the Beachbody Company and be in complete control of your financial future! You only have a little more than 2 weeks left to be able to test drive owning your own Team Beachbody Company, and with the startup costs completely waived. How many businesses can you start up with all of the tools and support you are given from Beachbody, along with the backing of $110 million in advertising from a well-known brand, with such a small investment amount?

I am not going to lie to you and tell you that if you sign up with me, money is going to fall from the sky and put you on easy street for the rest of your life...things just don't happen that way. But what I will promise you is this: Join my team as a coach and give a full commitment for 3 months. That means get on a fitness program and if you can, commit to Shakeology so you can be a walking billboard for the company which will also get others interested in what you are doing. Put at least 3-5 hours a week into learning about and building your business. If you don't feel this is working after 3 months, just walk away, knowing you gave it your best shot and be able to put the "should-haves" to rest. But I can promise you that if you do put in a good effort into this business, you will succeed. If you are able to simply bring in 2 coaches with you to be your partners, you will see the benefits right away, and probably start making profit immediately. The only thing you have to lose, is a potentially very bright future. A future that will provide you not only financially, but with more time for you to be able to enjoy life more doing what you want to do instead of what you have to do. An additional benefit to becoming a Beachbody Coach is that you will have also made a commitment to yourself to stay healthy, so you will live a longer, better life to enjoy the time and freedom you have created for yourself.

This opportunity is just too good to at least give a chance. New Year's resolutions are going to sweep the nation and we can be on the receiving end of people wanting to get in shape using our products. One of our own Beachbody Trainers, Brett Hoebel, is going to be a trainer on the next Biggest Loser, which will give us even more publicity. We have 5 of the top infomercials in the world, and plenty of advertising spent on getting them out there so we don't have to. Beachbody gives paying customers to us so we can benefit as coaches. And Beachbody is about to go global! With all of the success that Beachbody is having with products like P90X, Insanity, Shakeology, etc..., it is only the beginning because it has all been done in the US. But we will soon be branching into Mexico and Europe. You can get in before that ever happens. But you have to act fast, because the longer you wait, the longer you postpone your own success. Come be a part of my Beachbody Team. Contact me today.

My Sincere Apology Regarding Beachbody

This Blog is dedicated to everyone in my family, all of my friends, and the other people I have communicated with in the past 4 months about my involvement with Beachbody and how it has completely changed my heath, fitness, and now my finances. I apologize to all of you that listened to me get excited about the great business opportunity Beachbody has, and for trying to get you to be a part of it by joining my team of Independent Team Beachbody Coaches. I am sorry for attempting to recruit some of you on multiple occasions. I heard you explain how you feared MLM businesses, either because you have been burned before, or you know others that have, and I am sorry that I continued to move forward with Beachbody. But please hear me now as I explain just how SORRY I AM!

I am sorry that I didn't do a good enough job in getting you interested in the business. I am sorry that I didn't convey not only the potential for possible success, but just how likely it is you will succeed by simply sticking to a simple game plan that has already been established by Beachbody and the thousands of coaches that have paved the way for us. I am sorry that if you join me now, you will no longer be the first coach beneath me like yo would have been when I started out on this business venture, but I'll be more sorry if you wait longer to join me because I will have to live with more regret that I couldn't help you reach your goals.

Technically, I have been a coach since June of this year, but I really didn't start trying to build my business until this past September. The first few months I was what people call a "discount coach", simply doing it so I could save 25% on my Shakeology orders, as well as my purchases of P90X. Insanity, TurboFire, and other Beachbody apparel. I also wanted to take time to learn about the actual business, the tools the website had to offer, and get to know the overall company and products before I was comfortable promoting them to other people. I would never endorse something I didn't fully believe in. BUT I BELIEVE IN THIS OPPORTUNITY! When I finally decided to start working the business side of things, it took a little longer than expected to really get things going. This is because I must have done a poor job trying to convince my own family and friends. But in early October, an old friend saw my posts about my Insanity Workouts and the progress I made, and he reached out to me. I chatted with him and before I knew it, he was signing up as the first coach on my left leg, with my wife being the first on my right leg. At that moment I became an Emerald coach, and it has been awesome ever since. Thank you Jeremy Bonwell for believing in me, and trusting that I wouldn't lead you into a trap. Since October, I not only have signed more coaches and have had coaches placed beneath me by my own coach Pam McMasters, but I have been "given" paying customers by Beachbody from either QVC orders over the phone, or by people visiting the Beachbody website and making a purchase. I am making a profit off of people I have never met, or have ever had any contact with. Just yesterday I benefited from a couple of orders and received almost $70 without lifting a finger. I know that in the grand scheme of things that is a very small amount. But for someone like me who supports a family of 4 on a teacher's salary, that $70 can mean a couple extra Christmas presents I can give to my boys, or maybe a nice dinner I can take my wife to and give her some well-deserved flowers. This is only the beginning.  I can only imagine what the future holds, but from this end of the tunnel it looks very bright. I only hope this post may finally show you that this is a great opportunity with tremendous possibilities. It is still early, with the Beachbody Business Opportunity still in its infancy. We have less than 50,000 coaches right now, and need 1,000,000 to keep up with the demand. Join me today, so I don't have to make further apologies for not being able to help you take control of your physical, nutritional and financial future.

Fitness Ministries

Today we had one of the best Saturday workouts that we have had in a long time. 4 new people woke up this morning and decided to kick their mornings off to a great start with a little KenpoX. My only regret is that I forgot my camera to document it, but that was the only negative of the morning. I was happy to see that two of the new guests, who are a 13 year old girl and 10 year old boy, and they did fantastic. We had a great time and felt like a million bucks when we were done. I look forward to seeing them again at either our Tuesday and Saturday workouts. Way to BRING IT today group!

Be Part of Something Special

I have spoken to a lot of people about my involvement with Beachbody over the last few months and how it evolved from me being a devoted customer thanks to the results I got from doing P90X into both me and my wife becoming Independent Team Beachbody Coaches. The people have that I have had conversations with all have different things that they have focused on. Some are genuinely interested in just hearing about how I have changed my body both inside and out. Others have seen my passion for the products and hear the excitement in my voice when I talk about being involved in the company as a viable business and have jumped on-board. There are those that are interested in changing their own health and fitness, and have either committed to a program or are at least flirting with the idea, trying to talk themselves into actually committing. Then there are the prospects that are on the fence and just need that extra piece of evidence to tilt them into joining the business and those individuals who simply refuse to listen to the facts that not only is Beachbody a legitimate business, but a fantastic business opportunity.
I want to focus in on that last group that I mentioned. For those that need that little bit of evidence to finally convince you to take the plunge, and those of you that want proof that Beachbody is not a scam, let me direct you to our CEO, Carl Daikeler's latest blog. His last blog summarizes how Beachbody, LLC was just named one of the 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies of 2010, getting ranked at #43. There has never been a better time to become a part of this fantastic company. For more details on how you can not only improve the health and fitness of you and your loved ones, but also take control of your financial future, take a look at the following video.

I hope to hear from you soon.

How much can you make as a Beachbody Coach?

This seems to be one of the first and most frequent questions I get asked when I tell people that I am a Beachbody Coach, along with what do you have to do and how much does it actually cost. I usually start by clarifying that although being a Beachbody Coach does have a monthly fee, that it actually saves me money on products I would be purchasing anyway, so why not make money at it while helping myself as well as others get into better shape? When I get into a brief description of how we earn money as coaches and I mention the word "rank," that's when I usually hear, "what is a Diamond Coach and how much can they earn?" Well, let me explain it here, so I can possibly save my breath when I get asked in the near future.
Diamond Beachbody Coach
DIAMOND COACH:

A Diamond Beachbody Coach has to meet certain requirements:
  1.  Be active with at least 100 PV (Personal Volume), where at least 50 PV comes from Customer Orders.
  2. Personally  sponsor 8 coaches (4 on each of their business legs)
  3. Have at least 1 of those coaches from each leg reach Emerald Rank (They need to sponsor 2 coaches of their own)
**Note that a coach can sponsor 100 other coaches, but if they don't help their coaches grow their businesses, they won't achieve anything.

When a Beachbody Coach has achieved the rank of Diamond, it means they are doing fairly well and is most likely seeing their business grow on a consistent basis. A Diamond Coach is also at the highest level of team cycle bonuses, which is $18 per cycle and can reach a maximum of $2000 per week. If a Diamond Coach reaches this maximum every week, they would earn $104,000 a year in team cycle bonuses alone (but this is just a theory). As far as actual numbers are concerned, that can only be determined by how hard a coach is willing to work. I can, however, show you some basic stats on how much Diamond Coaches made last year:
  • The lowest amount a Diamond Coach made in 2009 was $485
  • The average amount of all Diamond Coaches in 2009 was $21,966
  • The highest amount a Diamond Coach made in 2009 was $296,130
The highest paid Beachbody Coach in 2009 earned a whopping $932,118.  Not too bad for a job you can start doing part-time to earn supplemental income to your regular job!

But here is the most exciting news; Diamond isn't even the highest rank a Beacbody Coach can achieve...not even close! You can become a 1-Star Diamond up through a 15-Star Diamond as your business continues to grow. As you reach 2-Star, 5-Star, 10-Star and 15-Star Diamond status, you will qualify for even more bonuses, earning a share of 2% of Beachbody's Bonus volume.

As you can see from the 2009 statistics, a lot of money can be made in this business, but it is up to the coach to determine just how successful they will be. If a coach can sponsor even 1 new coach a month, by the end of their first year they have the potential to earn a lot of money as they teach their coaches to follow the same business plan. I wish you all the best of luck, and look forward to having you join my Beachbody Coach Team.

Fitness Ministry - TurboJam Experience

My Tuesday night classes have been pretty strong, and the women have always expressed their thanks to me for hosting it for them. But it occurred to me that some of the ladies may want to see a different type of workout than the P90X cardio workouts, the Insanity Recovery Workouts and the Shakeology workouts. They are always good sports and get great workouts, but needed something with a little more rhythm and dance to it that would pump them up. I knew exactly where this was heading, but I had to swallow my pride and offer them a night of TurboJam. I will be honest, I suck at the TurboJam and TurboFire series, and although I can get through the movements easily, the sequencing throws me off and it really is the only time I ever feel uncoordinated. But this is my ministry, and it isn't about me. It's about helping to support these brave ladies who have taken a leap of faith to trust my judgement on what workouts they can handle, and push themselves more than they perhaps ever have before. I have been so proud of them lately that I couldn't deny them their time to dance to Chalene Johnson's music. So we did it and they loved it. I am still standing, with minimal embarrassment in the process. All in all, I think they really appreciated the fact that I was willing to do something that I wasn't comfortable doing, allowing myself to be vulnerable during a workout. They also could see that when I got a little confused, I just kept going the best I could and eventually figured out the right motion without any worry. I think them seeing that will be have a positive effect when introducing other workouts to them in the future. I am humbled yet very proud of the work my group is doing TOGETHER!

It hurts so good

This week I began a new workout routine by going back to my old friend P90X. Only this time, I am doing a Hybrid routine of the muscle confusion workouts of P90X with Insanity Workouts on my cardio days. I was immediately brought back to how I felt the first time I did P90X. I felt phenomenal that night, and was even able to make it all the way through AB Ripper X (including the Mason Twists). I don't remember ever blasting through that entire routine with the bonus twists at the end, so I have to thank Shaun T's amazing program for getting me into the best shape of my life! In any case, here is the part that brought me back to my introduction to Week 1 of P90X.  THE PAIN! OMG, my chest, shoulders and whatever the muscles under my armpit are called were ON FIRE!!! After completing the Day 1 workout of Chest & Back, I was rubbing sore areas on my body 2 1/2 days...then it was time to do Shoulders and Arms. In all honesty, doing that workout actually made me feel a little better. However, the muscles under my armpits hurt like hell when I was doing the warm up to Insanity's Max Cardio Conditioning, but all my soreness was gone once my body was properly warmed up. I know all this sounds scary, and you probably are thinking, "what kind of idiot would go through pain on purpose?" Well, this kind of idiot. As Tony would say about the pain I feel, "It's in a good way, a good way...I mean that in a good way." And he's right. Because the satisfaction I feel after a workout, the sense of accomplishment I experience, it makes all the pain meaningless when I look at myself in the mirror and see how far I have come and the example I have set for my children.

Insanity Complete!

Today I officially completed the entire Insanity Workout Program. When I started this journey, I thought that I was in the best shape of my life, and at the time I probably was. But now I'm at an entirely different level. I feel fantastic. When I began Insanity, I had just come off of another round of P90X after recovering from a back problem that saw me gain most of the weight back that I lost the first time. I thought I had great results, going from 196 lbs down to 182, and losing 10% body fat. But after going through Insanity, I am down to 172 lbs, 11% body fat and I can see my abs! To be honest, the workouts were really tough. But once I got into them, time seemed to fly by. I cannot believe I went through 8 weeks, with a recovery week in between. It feels like I just started. Now I just want to keep going, pushing myself to stay in the best shape I possibly can. The only problem I have now is that none of my clothes fit. I cannot wear my dress shirts to work because it looks like I'm wearing a trash bag. I had to poke extra holes in my belt just to keep my pants on. Oh well, I guess it's a good problem to have. Since starting P90X last year, I went from over 200 lbs and 27% body fat to the trim and ripped 172 and 11% body fat that I am today! Take a look at my pics to see how Insanity and Beachbody have transformed my life.

Chicken Nuggets

Chicken Nuggets: Made From Pink Goo

Have you ever seen one of those dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets and wondered, how do they do that? I personally imagined some kind of cookie-cutter shaped blade on a big machine.
Wrong. Apparently, this is what chicken nuggets look like before they’re cooked. The chicken is mechanically separated and de-boned, then the remaining meat is ground-down into this unappetizing paste. According toMichael Kindt, the goop is then disinfected, re-flavored and bleached back to the whitish color we all associate with cooked chicken breast. And of course, shaped along the way.
While I’m not sure what background Kindt has in food science, the image alone is compelling enough.
According to McDonald’s, a four-piece serving of McNuggets contains 190 calories, 100 of which come from trans fat. They also contain 400 milligrams of sodium, and along with modified food starch, dextrose and citric acid. However, there’s no reason to target McDonald’s, this image could be from any of a number of nugget producers. Jamie Oliver once whipped up a batch of nugget-goo for a class of elementary school children on his show. He was quite dismayed that the American children were willing to eat the nuggets even after seeing how they were made, whereas British children in the same situation were sufficiently disgusted to decline a taste-test.
We hope this image will give you another reason to skip the fast-food drive-through and prepare some healthier fare at home.

The Shakeology Cleanse

Shakeology Cleanse!

If you really want to kick start your workout and nutrition program, break through a stubborn plateau, or just clean house, I totally recommend doing the Shakeology Cleanse! This is a nutrient dense 3-day Shakeology and food plan that was designed by a highly experienced nutritionist. It's on the low side of caloric intake but not so low that it will jeopardize all the lean muscle you've worked so hard to build!! Here's how it works:
What does it do?
  • it rids your body of harmful toxins
  • it provides your body with nutrient dense calories
  • it decreases water retention and bloating
  • it helps with nutrient absorbtion and efficiency
  • it rehydrates your body
  • it helps you lose weight
  • it gives your metabolism a boost
  • it renews your energy
  • it gets your body regular
Here's the plan you'll follow for 3 days:
Start: 1 cup green or detox tea
Breakfast: Shakeology mixed with water and/or ice only (you may add a 1/2 cup fruit)
Snack: One piece of fruit
Lunch: Shakeology mixed with water and/or ice only followed by another cup of green or detox tea
Snack: Shakeology mixed with water and/or ice only - if you choose, you can drink this after dinner instead
Dinner: Salad with greens, 3 servings of veggies, and 4 oz. of grilled white meat or fish (or tofu or beans if you're vegetarian) and 2 tbsp. lowfat dressing
NOTES:
  • you can eat your salad for lunch instead of dinner, if you prefer
  • drink 2-4 liters of water each day
  • no dairy products at all (not even soy/almond/rice milk)
  • if you're used to doing intense physical activity, take it down to light/moderate activity
  • NO ALCOHOL!
  • do not add any extra salt or sugar to this diet
Possible side effects:
  • headaches (especially if you're used to drinking lots of coffee or pop)
  • lack of energy
  • hunger
  • no weight loss (it's more important that you take note of your measurements and how you feel)
The Shakeology Cleanse is a safe and healthy way to cleanse your body! There are so many different cleanses out there that are unsafe, unhealthy, damaging, risky, and eat away at the lean muscle you work so hard to build! Here's a great comparison between the Shakeology Cleanse and another popular cleanse:
So what do I do after the Shakeology Cleanse?
After you're finished with your 3-day Shakeology cleanse just continue using Shakeology like you would normally do with 1 serving every day and use any of the delicious recipes we have, along with eating clean and doing your favorite Beachbody/exercise program!
If you don't have your Shakeology yet and you're interested in trying the cleanse, you can get your hands on some by going to either Matt's Beachbody Website or Leslie's Beachbody Website by clicking on the links  listed under our profile (note: there's always a 30-day "bottom-of-the-bag" money back guarantee). There you'll also find recipes, the science on Shakeology, as well as a clean eating plan/recipes for an everyday Shakeology lifestyle and results! And if you have any questions email me at tntfitfam@yahoo.com ...I'd be happy to assist you!
Let's start SHAKIN' it off!

Fitness Ministry

Last night was another great workout with the group, doing the group favorite, "CardioX" from P90X. We had another new addition to the class with Heidi's Husband Bryan joining in on our workouts. I love seeing the group continue to grow. In fact, I think that our group is big enough now that when everyone attends we have to move into the Church Sanctuary, which is exciting. It is so encouraging to see the enthusiasm on everyone's face and energy as they do their absolute best. I love being able to help others get on the path to healthy eating habits and exercise. I know that only meeting with them once or twice a week isn't enough, but I am hopeful that this opens their eyes to what is possible for them and their future health and fitness. Last night, one of our members even announced that she has lost 10 lbs. I am so proud of her and know that this is only the beginning. Way to go! See you at the next workout everyone.

Insanity, Day 5 of Week 7

I am as tired as I have ever been after a workout. It feels like a hit a wall this week and I am trying to pinpoint why. I am having difficulty making it through the entire workouts without increasing my breaks toward the end, finding myself completely exhausted and gasping to fill my lungs with air. It could be for various reasons, but I don't want to make any excuses. I know I did not all of a sudden become out of shape, especially when I wasn't feeling like this last week during the same workouts. This are my explanations so far. The truth lies somewhere mixed in, most likely residing in a combination of many rather than one specific thing:
  • I am actually pushing myself harder and doing the moves better this week than last during the first half of the workout, therefore I am fatigued with much of the workout remaining. I am OK with this possibility.
  • I have not upped my calorie intake to match the amount that I am burning in phase 2 of Insanity.
  • I am dehydrated, therefore become a little bit dizzy because I cannot hydrate enough during workout.
  • The weather...it has been abnormally hot this week. At one point it reached 116*, so working out in a room without a/c really hampers my ability to work at full capacity while maintaining my focus. The last two days have been incredibly humid, just sucking the hydration right out of me.
  • After 2 1/2 weeks of phase 2, my body is simply tired.
  • I haven't been sleeping as soundly this week, so my batteries aren't fully recharged every day.
I just hope anyone reading this can see that these workouts are tough. I have done P90X multiple times, and have nearly completed Insanity, but I still have my struggles. AND IT'S OK! I just dig as deep as I can and give it my best. Sure it felt like today when I dug deep, I wanted to climb in the hole I dug and hide, but I kept going. It isn't always going to be easy, or even fun. But what it is, is WORTH IT. I am tired, I am downright exhausted, and I feel absolutely great! Tomorrow I plan to get up, dust myself off, host my fit club to a KenpoX workout and then putting myself though the last workout of week 7 for Insanity. I am so looking forward to week 8.

Insanity, Day 45

I'm not going to lie, today's workout was rough, and not just because it's an insane workout. I was dragging a bit when I looked at the clock and realized I had better get moving, otherwise the evening was going to get away from me with dinner and the kids' bedtime, and I didn't want to wait until 9 or 10pm. So I started by posting that I was about to workout on Facebook, then logged into WOWY so I couldn't back out. I then sluggishly made my way to the DVD player in the family room, started it up and got my towel and water. During the warm up I actually paused it and thought to myself "I am not in the mood to put myself through this." But I turned right around and started anyway. When your frame of mind is like that, every move seems to require so much more strength and lung power to perform. I was still feeling out of it about 5 minutes into the workout, I just couldn't get that feeling out of my head. But as the warm-up got into its third cycle of the circuit, I was sweating like usual and was finding myself concentrating more on the moves than on my state of mind. Once I had my blood flowing it was business as usual. In the end, I still ended up drenched in sweat from an amazing workout. Yes, it was rough. But I was able to "Dig Deeper" and push through because I have worked too hard for too long to let myself give up. I am so glad I did.

Game Plan II

This past Saturday, Leslie and I attended The Game Plan II Seminar in Pasadena. What a great collection of Beachbody Coaches, all willing to share ideas and experiences with everyone to help improve their business. We made some friends,  reconnected with one that I haven't seen in years, and came out of it completely inspired and fired up to kick our business into gear. I really look forward to the next time we can attend another Beachbody event because everyone that we met was so great. Thanks Beachbody, I love this company.

Fitness Ministry

Last night we had our best group workout yet. The room was packed with energetic women ready to "Bring It" to CardioX from P90X. In fact, with the size of the group increasing so much, we may now have to move to the Church Sanctuary for more room. I am so excited about the progress that has taken place, and to finally see that our ministry is spreading beyond the walls of the church. One of the newer group members was excited to share that after joining in on the workout last week she actually lost 5 lbs. The other thing I am excited about are all the questions about nutrition and healthier eating habits. I see huge potential with this group and am excited about the future physical and nutritional well-being of the group, and how it helps to clear their minds and bodies and enable them to become more spiritually fit as well.

On another note, thank God that the group was so charged to workout. I was really feeling it from my Max Interval Plyo workout for Insanity that I did a few hours earlier. Now being in the second month of Insanity, the workouts have definitely become more intense...I didn't even know that would be possible after the first month. I am more sore, especially in the upper body. So it was probably really good for me to do CardioX, as it loosened up my muscles a bit. So, thank you ladies for forcing me to be there for the workout with your dedication to show up.

Insanity Month 2 Begins

As if it weren't a busy day with work and meetings with the New Song Committee on Community Outreach, both very important and meaningful things of course, today was also the day for me to begin the 2nd month of Insanity as soon as I got home from work. I think I hate Shawn T today...but just today. For some reason, that man decided it was a good idea to do the fit test and then do Max Interval Circuit for the first time immediately after it. As if the fit test weren't exhausting enough, let's just throw an hour of heart pumping, muscle straining intensity into the mix as well. None of the other workouts have been more than 35 minutes or so, but today's was over an hour. This was the first day I didn't feel like I could make it through all the moves. I did my best, I know that there is a lot of room for improvement.  I did take my picture, documenting my progress through the half-way point. I am proud of myself. I am officially down between 175-177 lbs. I haven't gone above the 177 mark in over a week, so I feel confident that my weight will stay below as long as I continue to eat right and maintain my workouts. I love the way I feel and plan to continue on my journey for a healthier tomorrow with my family.

Shakeology 3-Day Cleanse

The Shakeology® 3-Day Cleanse

The key is to follow the same regimen all three days.

Essentials:
  • 3 Shakeology shakes per day
  • 2 cups of green tea per day
  • 1 or 2 pieces of fruit per day (optional)

Fitness Ministry & Insanity

Last night we had a great group show up for workout. 4 New women joined the class and we all had a great time doing Cardio X together. Two of the girls were from Mom 2 Mom and the other 2 were recruited by a regular attendee. I was happy to hear that they felt the intensity was perfect for their fitness level, and one of the ladies is starting to really improve with all of the movements. I shared some recovery drink with them and talked about the importance of replenishing your system after a workout.  I look forward to next week's class.

As for my own progress, I am half-way through the recovery week between month 1 and month 2 of the program. It is a welcomed break even thought the workout still makes me feel plenty, especially during the leg lifts and the shoulder burner series of movements.

Insanity Recovery Week, Day 1

Day 29 of Insanity is the first day of Recovery Week.  Core Cardio and Balance started off simple enough, although I had plenty of sweat coming down. I liked the workout, but two moves in particular made me really feel the burn. The shoulder sequence made me feel like my arms were going to fall off, causing me to take frequent breaks along the way, as did the standing leg-raise sequence. But overall, I enjoyed it and can't wait to see if I improve over the course of this week.

Fitness Ministry Resumes Today

My section of Fitness Ministry through our Church resumed today after a small break. Only a few people showed up, but they worked their tails off. We did our usual weekend workout...Kenpo X from P90X. It is a great way to blow off some stress with all of the kicking and punching you get to do. Everyone had a great time and were all dripping with sweat. I shared some recovery drink with them and just chatted about the different workouts Beachbody has to offer as they looked at some of the products I brought for display. Great day.

Insanity Month 1 is in the Books

I completed the final workout of month 1 for Insanity and I feel great, and I think my abs have finally shown up. I am looking forward to the Recovery Week workouts before starting month 2.  I do have a question though...Will this stuff ever seem easy? I feel like I am just as tired after today's workout as I was after the first actual workout. Coincidentally, it was the same workout. I think I am just pushing myself more, and taking less rests in between, and that's why it hasn't gotten any easier. I do need to continue working on my shoulders. They seem to tire out first during the Level 1 and 2 drills, especially when going back and forth between "ski abs" and "in and outs" on the floor. Another thing I am going to keep watch over are my calves down to my heels. My calves are extremely tight, and some of the jumping moves really gets them burning, but not in the same way as muscle soreness. It affects me to where my tendons that connect to my heels are in pain a lot, so I have to do a lot of roller exercises with them to break up the tissue and loosen them up. I need to find a way to relax my calves more every day. They have always been big, but they have tightened up since going through P90X with the Plyometrics and Legs & Back routine really setting them on fire. This will not stop me, because the rest of me is feeling great. I am now down to less than what I weighed when I graduated High School. A little more definition is what I am aiming for. I hope that the second month of Insanity will get me there.

My Insanity Journey

I am upset with myself. I am almost done with the first 4 weeks of my Insanity program, and I dropped the ball when it came to blogging about my experience every day as I planned to. I have been religiously posting comments every time I work out on Facebook, but it isn't the same as a detailed journal that captures everything I have gone through in real time. From here on out I am going to try to post my daily trials of Insanity as I move toward days 30 - 60 of the 60-day program. If you are reading this, then you accepted my facebook request to  follow my blog so I will make sure I stay committed to documenting my progress, and I thank you for that.

I went back and found some of my facebook posts to help me recollect what I was going through in the beginning stage of this program. Everything seems like such a blur. I honestly cannot believe I have been doing this for 26 days, it feels like I just started. That is something I would like to make sure all my friends understand, that you could be looking back and say, "Man, look how far I have come in such a short amount of time" instead of  "damn, I need to do something about my health and fitness." The day before Day 1 is the most difficult, it's the day you have to decide to make a change. But trust me when I tell you that once you get into it, and you start feeling yourself change, you will turn around and realize you have been doing it for over a month and never look back again.  Join me on my journey and you will change your life forever.

I did my Insanity Fit Test yesterday, ready to do my first actual Insanity Workout, Plyo Cardio Circuit. Here goes nothing. May have reached for a little more than I should have. I loved the Insanity workout, took as few breaks as possible while keeping my best quality form.

8/11/2010

Woke up sore after yesterday's crazy schedule, but still gonna give Day #3 of Insanity a go. Today is Cardio Power and Resistance...I'm already looking forward to my after-workout lunch, I'm sure gonna need the fuel. I'm WOWY bound.

8/10/2010

Day #4 of Insanity...So far, so good. Today is Cardio Recovery. I'm WOWY bound.

8/11-8/19/2010
No juicy details to report. I stayed the course and posted that I did my workout for the day no matter how hot it was or how late I worked out.
8/20/2010

Day #12 of INSANITY...Today is Cardio Power and Resistance. I can't believe I'm already finshing week #2. Has it gotten any easier...Hell No! How do I feel...GREAT!

8/23/2010

My results were pretty good for my Insanity Week 2 Fit Test. Improved in all movements except for Globe Jumps, but I think I was just jumping higher so it took longer for me to come down. I feel great.

9/1/2010

It's later than I would like to do this, but it's time to suck it up. Day 24 of Insanity is Plyo Cardio Circuit...I must DIG DEEPER. I don't believe in too tired.

That's just a brief synopsis of what I went through. I promise to do better with the details, and maybe I can inspire someone to take a leap of faith and make the decision to create a healthier tomorrow for themself.

As Shawn T would say..."Peace Out"

Fitness Ministries with P90X - Day 1

I finally got my Fitness Ministries Class off the ground at New Song Church on Tuesday. I had a small group attend, but they had guts.  I saw how committed to getting into shape they were when they accepted the challenge of PlyoX right off the bat. All of them made it until the very end, I was so impressed. I promised to tone things down a bit next week, but now that they know they can make it through the most rigorous workout in the P90X program, the rest should be a breeze for them. On Saturday the class will be doing KenpoX, but since I cannot be there, Leslie will be running it. I am disappointed that I can't make it, but look forward to working with this group as they become more physically fit, and as the numbers of the group increase.

Fitness Ministries

Re: Leslie's 1st Turbo Jam Group Workout:
Yesterday was my first workout for my newly created Fitness Ministries through New Song Church in San Dimas.  Although I expected more to show up, the 4 women that gave their blood (not literally), sweat and tears (absolutely literally), had the passion and commitment of God's army.  Together, we lifted each other motivationally and spiritually to dig deep inside ourselves and find our inner strength.  When you are able to take care of yourself inside and out with physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle, the transformation begins.  Ridding our bodies of the toxic waste inside our bodies helps us to be able to refocus our energy to serve the Lord. With clear mind and body, we don't have the distractions that take our attentions away from living our lives in the way God wants us to.  I look forward to the fruit this group will bare in strengthening our relationships with each other, and with the Lord.

God Bless

Shakeology Update

I miss my Shakeology.  I miss it because so many people were interested in it that I gave them samples from my personal supply, and haven't been able to enjoy any of the recipes for the Greenberry or Chocolate shakes in over a week.  I am due for my delivery within the next couple of days, so I am anxious to get back into my routine.  I have had some great results with the shakes, with them not only increasing my daily intake of fruits, vegetables, prebiotics and other fantastic contents to improve my health, but it also helped my metabolism kick things up a notch and I dropped 5 pounds out of nowhere!  And this was just because I added it to my meal plan 3 days a week.  I can only hope my friends and family give shakeology the chance it deserves so they can also enjoy the benefits of it as well.

Two Weeks on Shakeology

I am officially hooked on my Shakeology from Beachbody.  The problem is that I have given so much of it away to interested people that I am running low on my own personal supply and now am faced with not having it for a couple of weeks.  In the last two weeks, without changing anything in my diet  or workouts other than the addition of Shakeology at least 3 times a week.  In that time, I have seen my weight drop another 5 lbs.  Imagine what can happen for those that do not eat healthy all the time and replace 1 meal a day with Shakeology.  For the same price or even less than getting fast food or Starbucks, you can have Shakeology and improve your health from the inside out.  It fills me up, has great recipes, and gives me a boost of energy that gets me through the day without any fatigue setting in.  I truly believe Shakeology will be a part of my regular diet from now on.  You should give it a try.  For more information, go to our website tntfitfam.com, or directly to our Shakeology page.

Where's the Time

Between work, coming home to spend time with the family, preparing and eating dinner, and putting the kids to bed, it is sometimes tough to muster up the energy to start your workout.  I understand completely, and I know how tempting it is to park your butt on the couch and veg for a minute...or an hour...etc...But I also know how hard I have worked to get to this point, and how easy it is to fall back into that sloth mentality. And yes, I am perfectly happy "postponing" my workouts until another day so I can just relax. But once turns into twice, then a few times and so on.  So I lumber over to the DVD player and pop in my P90X routing for the day, stare at it for a second, and as the music begins I start perking up.  I fill my water bottle, get my towel, tighten my shoelaces and get my weights ready if they are needed for that workout.  Still not 100% into it when I start the warm-up, I follow Tony Horton's lead.  A couple of minutes in and my blood starts pumping and my body kicks in, like it has been given a jump start.  I am not kidding.  My entire attitude gets transformed and I become alert, and ready for action.  Before long, I can hardly remember being tired, make it through that workout, and upon finishing, become completely satisfied with the feeling of muscle fatigue from my workout.  I can sleep so much better from accomplishing the feeling of tired rather than succumbing to it.

Couple's Workout

My wife and I are currently going through Beachbody's P90X program.  However, I am at the very end of the program, and my wife is just beginning Phase 2.  Just by luck of the schedule, our workouts for the week line up.  It had been quite some time since we have been able to work out together for a multitude of reasons.  The first was that she hated working out with me because she couldn't keep up and would get frustrated, the other was because we have two you boys so we work out whenever our schedule permits. In any case, Leslie had been using the TurboJam program by Chalene Johnson before coming back to P90X.  I have to say that I was pretty impressed and proud of her with her growth.  No, she couldn't do every  move without modifying, but she did her best and forgot the rest.  By the end of our Chest, Shoulders & Triceps workout, followed by Ab Ripper X we were exhausted, but felt great.  It really is better to work out together, pushing as well as encouraging each other to do the very best we possibly can as we strive to get in the best shape of our lives.

Day 1....Welcome!!!

Greetings All,
I want to welcome you to our newly launched blog regarding everything Beachbody! We are Matt & Leslie Dultz, and we are new Independent Team Beachbody Coaches. We want to reach anyone who is considering one of the many Beachbody Programs or Products that are available, but hasn't gotten that final push of inspiration to actually commit to it. We were in the same boat as you, but once we finally took the leap, we were so glad we did. So much in fact, that here we are today, reaching out to serve you as your own personal motivator. I (Matt) began the P90X program and had great results. But I won't lie and tell you it was a piece of cake. It took a lot of sweat and sacrifice, but it all paid off in the end. I lost over 20 pounds and was leaner than when I graduated from high school (and I am a 32 year old married father of 2!). My wife (Leslie) has gone through the TurboJam program, and is doing her own modified version of P90X to suit her needs and abilities. But that's the point of this blog. To reach those of you who may feel intimidated about starting on such a daunting journey. To those of you that feel you have to get in shape just to go to the gym you signed up for. Allow us to be your own personal online coach for motivation, advice, encouragement and accountability. We would love to help you.
